WALLED LAKE, Mich.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–For more than 50 years, Halo Programs has provided valuable industry-specific automated marketing to mortgage, real estate companies, and HVAC contractors, with tools designed to generate low-cost, high-yield customer leads. Over the last 10 years, the company has developed 3 industry-specific CRM solutions. It has taken another big step by promoting tech entrepreneur Marc Mandt to the company’s Chief Technology Officer role.

Mandt, originally from Georgia and now an Ann Arbor resident, brings over 25 years of technology experience to Halo after he designed and launched around 20 successful desktop, web-based, and mobile products and services. His next big challenge is to help Halo move into yet another level of service to its customers.

“Halo Programs is sitting on a treasure trove of data from here to the moon. The idea is to turn these customer relationships into new revenue,” Mandt said. “There are dozens of ways we can leverage the data we have to improve our partners’ business while also generating new revenue on our side. The biggest reason behind why I decided to take the job was that I realized the only thing that stood between Halo and new levels of success was to develop a deeper understanding with the team of how to build software and offer new solutions to the marketplace.”

Halo CEO Kirk King says that adding Mandt and his expertise to his company’s CTO role will be a game changer for the company. “I’m so impressed with his wealth of experience in so many industries. We’re coming out of a tough period for our mortgage and real estate partners and the ideas and innovative expertise he brings couldn’t have come at a better time. We are thrilled to have him.”

Much of Mandt’s entrepreneurial pursuits began with sports data and he launched companies like LeagueUSA, which innovated the youth sports software industry. There’s not a travel baseball team in the U.S. that hasn’t used the LeagueUSA software for live game scores and statistics. Mandt finally sold the company to SportsEngine, now under NBC Sports’s banner. He then turned to developing mobile tools for Sony and Corby Energy. He says he’s been challenge-oriented throughout his career and admits he left some big company security to take on the role at Halo.

“I had a very secure job with Corby which services DTE. But there was something about Kirk and Halo that told me this is who I want to work with,” Mandt said. “I wasn’t wrong. It’s a tremendous team with some pretty big challenges that I’m excited about working towards helping evolve to a new level.”
