Field Sales Success Story: Mondelēz with PowWow Mobile

Mondelēz International is the third largest Confectionary, Food and Beverage Company in the world, with universally renowned, billion-dollar brands such as Cadbury, Nabisco, Oreo, Trident gum, and Tang powdered beverages, among others. Mondelēz was faced with a pressing mobility problem, they needed a solution that could quickly extend theSource, their key customer facing and revenue generating application, out to its field sales reps on mobile devices.
theSource is a custom-built web app that uses Microsoft SharePoint as a content management system that is comprised of 39 unique workflows. The app (see image at top) is used daily by thousands of sales reps and contract workers for sales-planning, in-store merchandising, trade planning, category management, shopper marketing, perfect store displays, field sales, as well as for accessing other corporate and sales intelligence systems.
theSource puts all of this information at the fingertips of sales reps when they are on their PC; however, it was not built to extend to mobile. This inefficiency was burdensome and counterproductive to a sales team that needed to hit revenue projections and maintain a competitive advantage. With a global sales force of over 35,000 reps, lack of anytime, anywhere access is a problem not just of effectiveness and efficiency; it can also contribute to reduced customer loyalty, lost revenue and ultimately, declining market share.
The secret: custom mobile sales apps via PowWow Mobile
Mondelēz PowWow Mobile because of its ability to rapidly transform any application (packaged on-premises, or custom-built system, including legacy “green-screen” applications), into a native mobile app, for about the cost of one cup of coffee per employee, per month.

Sales reps can now do their job more effectively and efficiently, without ever needing to take out their PC or be slowed-down and limited by a paper-based process.
