The oncology app OncologyGo was developed in 2017 by Harborside, a medical publishing company based in Huntington, New York. Harborside’s principal team members have more than 50 years of experience in publishing, with a specific focus in oncology.
Harborside’s readers include practicing oncologists and hematologists, as well as nurse practitioners, advanced care nurses, physician assistants, and other advanced practitioners. All of these clients need to stay up-to-date on many major advances in the field, which can in turn affect their day-to-day patient care.
With that in mind, Harborside saw the need to bring breaking cancer news to medical pracitioners–no matter where they are. They partnered with MAZ to develop a mobile oncology app that features compelling videos of leading oncologists and hematologists sharing their latest research findings. OncologyGo is the first hematology / oncology app to deliver breaking cancer news from top experts.
OncologyGo was built for iOS devices (iPhones, iPads), tvOS (Apple TV), Roku, and Amazon Fire Sticks.
Launch successes
Within the first 10 months of launch within a niche market, Harborside’s OncologyGo app was downloaded across devices nearly 1,000 times in dozens of countries. And since its launch in November 2017, there have been over 21,000 user sessions, with multiple videos often interacted within in each session. It’s plain to see that this oncology app is now a growing vital medical resource in the world of oncology and hematology.
