Need a better car, table, or tripod mount for your phone or tablet? A new Kickstarter project called MobileMount+ aims to win you over by making it simple to mount virtually any gadget to a flat surface. The concept is simple — MobileMount+ is comprised of two suction cups and one threaded ball joint — but its uses are varied, covering camera tripod, car window or dashboard mount, or tabletop kickstand.
The MobileMount+ also allows you to mount your device on any camera accessory that supports 1/4″ 20 threads, such as a dolly or a tripod. To use the camera mount function, you would unscrew the ball and attach the single suction cup and threaded ball joint to the camera accessory. The ball and joint will allow you to adjust the mount for getting the right shot or the best viewing angle.
This MobileMount+ project will only be funded if at least $25,000 is pledged by February 9, 2013. If the project is funded, the product’s estimated availability is Spring 2013. You can support MobileMount+ starting at one dollar on the company’s Kickstarter page, and backers of $35 or more are given a MobileMount+.
