Microsoft’s Windows Store is now open for apps from individual developers, as well as companies – and Microsoft also added 82 more submission markets, bringing the number of supported markets to 120. You can submit both Windows 8 apps and traditional Windows applications.
Microsoft is also offering new bonuses for certain MSDN subscribers. If you use Visual Studio Professional, Test Professional, Premium, or Ultimate, you can receive a free, one-year Windows Store developer account. Startup businesses using Microsoft’s BizSpark program and students using Microsoft’s DreamSpark program also receive a waiver of the subscription fee.
