  • Time to Flex-Successful Remote Portfolio Management at 9:45 a.m. on 9/1 — Remote portfolio management is more prominent than ever; therefore, so too is successful remote portfolio management. Cunningham, a 20-year multifamily industry veteran, will delve into the newfound prominence of remote portfolio management and the importance of its success. The session will provide insights into how the speakers handle remote management and what to consider regarding communication and culture. Panelists will share “what not to do” stories and provide ideas to implement immediately. Speakers include: Ron Cox at Grubb Properties, a real estate fund manager; Merrcy Moore at FPI Management, a privately owned, third-party, multifamily property management firm; Catherine Souder at AION Management, a “Best in Class” property management company.
  • New & Emerging Risks: Are you Prepared? at 11:30 a.m. on 9/2 — Are you prepared for any new or emerging risk? No one anticipated the pandemic and what it meant to operations. However, you can take what you learned and ensure you are ready for anything new. McFarling, the first female on the Leonardo247 Board of Directors, will moderate the conversation of the new and emerging risk that has appeared within the industry after the pandemic. The discussion will analyze possible gaps in existing processes and review the potential negative impacts on the industry. Walk away with a plan to fill in the gaps and be prepared! Speakers include: Tracy Bowers at RangeWater Real Estate, a leader in multifamily real estate; Jason Whittington at Gene B. Glick Company, one of the largest privately held real estate management and development firms in the U.S.; Julie Brawn-Whitesides at ConAm Management Corporation, a full-service real estate management and investment firm.

“This event offers an opportunity to reflect on how to take the next steps toward the path to success as we shift to the new normal in multifamily property management,” said Cunningham. “Now that we are back to an in-person event, we can reconnect with some of the industry’s top minds to discuss risk, safety and what to expect in years to come.”

The Apartmentalize event is a premier event for rental apartment management professionals. The theme for this year’s event is “Reconnect, Restart, Reenergize.”
