DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–UK tech company growth platform Tech Nation has announced five Wales-based winners in its Rising Stars 3.0 competition. In its third year, Rising Stars 3.0 is the UK’s only national competition for innovative, early-stage tech companies, designed to showcase the best in the country and to help companies on their growth journey.
Immersity, which creates virtual learning and training scenarios with Dallas-based partner Shokworks, Inc., was named one of five regional winners in Wales. Winners for each region across the UK have been selected by a panel of industry experts, and are regarded as tech leaders within their respective regions. Immersity will now compete nationally for the chance to be named as one of Tech Nation’s 10 Rising Stars 3.0 in February.
Immersity designs realistic V-learning and V-experiences scenarios, to engage, train and interact with people faster, more effectively and at a lower cost. Clients include Google, DuPont Sustainable Solutions and Akon Legacy Ventures. ImmersityVR can be used to mitigate risk to individuals through self-assessment of awareness and tasks, and their impact on the working environment, or to give consumers a completely new immersive V-commerce experience. The possibilities are immense.
Shokworks is Immersity’s technology partner, and builds out these VR training packages for immersive learning and safety-skill space training for heavy industries, governments, colleges, etc. Shokworks owns a large stake in Immersity.
“At Immersity, we are very lucky to have developed a close partnership with Shokworks. Together we’ve pushed the boundaries of what’s possible for rapid VR App Design and Publication on a SaaS Cloud platform for Mobile and VR Desktop devices,” said Hugh Sullivan, CEO of Immersity. “With recent additions of multi-user immersive experiences with two-way audio and live-stream video in the VR App, Shokworks has been our fantastic technology provider at every step.”
Tech Nation’s Rising Stars are on track to become the world-leading tech companies of tomorrow, using technology to tackle the world’s greatest challenges. The competition provides the opportunity for the best of the nation’s early-stage scale-ups to meet leading investors, influencers and corporations.
“At Shokworks, it is a privilege to mutually gain recognition with our partner and portfolio company Immersity for transforming traditional mediums and education with cutting-edge immersive VR experiences,” said Shokworks CEO Alejandro Laplana.
