Thinking of a getting a MacBook Pro or MacBook Air? Then you have good timing, because Apple this week slashed the price of the 13-inch MacBook Pro by $200, and has cut its 13-inch MacBook Air by $100. The 15-inch MacBook Pro isn’t seeing a price drop, but is flashing some improved specs.
Apple’s 13-inch MacBook Air with 256GB of flash has a new lower price of $1,399, a $100 price drop. And the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display has dropped $200– starting at $1,499 for 128GB of flash, while $1,699 gets you a new 2.6 GHz processor and 256GB of flash.
While the price for the 15-inch MacBook Pro is still the same at $2,199, those dollars now buy you a faster 2.4 GHz quad-core processor, up from 2.3-GHz. Similarly, the top-of-the-line 15-inch model ($2,799) now comes with a 2.7 GHz quad-core processor and 16GB of memory, bumped up from 8GB.
The updated MacBook Pro with Retina display and MacBook Air models are available through Apple’s website, Apple retail stores and authorized resellers. Pricing details, technical specifications, configure-to-order options and accessories are all available online.
