Remember when you got your newest phone? You were excited for its fresh shine, great camera, speed, and its other cool features. But over time, your phone starts feeling slower. And as battery life deteriorates, you have to charge it more often. One day, your screen may have issues or your phone may not even turn on. Don’t wait until that happens and you suddenly have to deal with replacing it. So with that in mind, here are some top warning signs to tell you when you should replace your mobile or cell phone before it dies:

1. You can’t use VoLTE networks

Voice over Long Term Evolution is a new way for making service connections so that even when on a call, you can still use your mobile data. 3G is soon being eradicated from phones. This means that phones that do not support Voice over Long Term Evolution (VoLTE) will go out of service with time.

To check whether your phone VoLTE is enabled, go to your phone setting on connections or networks or cellular data options depending on what type of phone you are using. If you cannot find it, you can enquire from your phone service provider. You can also ask customer care from your phone service to walk you through finding the setting since some phones do not have it enabled by default.

If you discover that your phone is incapable of VoLTE, it is time for you to replace it. However, do not worry since there are a lot of VoLTE compatible phones and tablets that will not drain your bank account, including the newest 5G phones and many others.

2. Favorite apps keep crashing

Smartphones and apps are human-made which means they are not always perfect. An app may keep crashing because it is poorly designed and contains bugs. However, not every crash is due to the design of the app. Some like the Betway app are specially designed, but if it keeps crashing, it means there is an issue with your phone’s compatibility with the app.

Apps like Betway are compatible with many devices; therefore, you may need to upgrade your phone since it will mean your phone CPU, RAM, or internal storage cannot accommodate the app.

3. Newer graphics-heavy apps fail

Advancement in technology has led to the development of virtual reality apps. This may make them a bit resource-intensive, causing older phones to fail.

Failure also may be caused by gaming apps like Betway. It has many features to enhance your experience, like live betting, and these features demand more of the phone like RAM and CPU or the phone’s internal graphics. If new apps keep failing on your phone, then it is time for an upgrade.

4. No more OS updates

Some hardware, like phone batteries, have a limited shelf life. And over the years, your phone’s main software (operating system or OS) will become more obsolete when OS updates are released that do not support your phone. So before buying a new phone, you should always find out how many years it will receive automatic OS updates.

5. Phone damage

Misuse and natural wear and tear can also lead you to replace your phone. You might press a button too hard or use it while it is raining, causing damage to your phone’s inner parts. In case of any of those, it is your time to replace your phone. Immediate or prolonged phone damage reduces the effectiveness of your phone.

Last minute fixes

When you have one of the above problems but can’t replace your mobile phone right away, then you can try other ways to speed up your phone if it’s still working. For example, you can boost your old phone to some degree by disabling some less-important apps from loading on startup. And you can delete seldom-used apps and unnecessary media like photos, videos, and screenshots.

Then when you have the time or money, you can think about what kind of replacement phone to get, and whether to go new or gently used.
