When
is the deadline?
We'll
start accepting nominations and entries for 2012 on June 1, 2012,
and a link to the 2012 entry form will be posted online, or the
form can be emailed to you upon request.
Who
is entered so far?
Winners for 2011 are currently listed on the Awards
page. Entrants for 2012 will be posted on the same page after
the 2012 program launches in June. At that time, 2011 winners will
be moved to another page which will be linked from the 2012 entrants'
page.
How
are winners chosen?
Award winners are chosen via online ballot by subscribers to MobileVillage's
free e-zine, Go
Mobile.
Non-subscribers (your employees, customers, partners etc.) will
be able to vote immediately after subscribing online. We provide
all entrants with a sample voting invitation email to send out if
they wish. Voters are encouraged -- but not required -- to view
entrants' online summary pages. To help ensure fair competition
for smaller companies, we only count the first 40 votes by an entering
company's employees, including subsidiaries. There is no limit to
the number of your customers (product users) or partners who can
vote, although only one vote per person is allowed. We monitor votes
very closely. Entrants will receive complete voting details and
a voting invitation template after their entries are posted. This
year, online voting
ran until 11pm PST on Monday, November 28, 2011, and winners were
notified and announced that week.
What
are the odds?
Because there are a large number of categories and awards per category
(SUPERSTAR, Shining Star, Rising Star), odds are generally better
than in many other awards competitions.
What
will winners receive?
Besides being listed on MobileVillage, winners receive press announcements
and the appropriate winner logo(s) (SUPERSTAR, Shining Star, Rising
Star) for their use. Plaques are not included, but we can help arrange
them if requested. There is no live winners ceremony, but MobileVillage
is looking into organizing such an event in the future.
What
is the entry cost?
It is our goal to provide entry options that fit PR/marketing budgets
of all sizes. Entry fees start at only US $59 for an unlinked entry
without a summary page, or US $129 for a linked entry with a summary
page. The fee covers publicity, processing / hosting of entries,
management of voting, and awards nominee logos, which you'll receive
after entering.
Why
choose a summary page?
The biggest reason to choose a summary page is to provide quick
info to voters about your company, product(s), and/or success story.
Plus, people can see your summary page for another year after voting
ends, because it's linked from both the Awards
page and MobileVillage's Yellow
Pages index through October of the following year, when it can
be renewed. (Success stories remain online for two years). Your
summary page will be seen by dozens to hundreds of mobile product

How
long will it take to fill out the entry form?
Most of the form is information, which you should read carefully
where applicable. It should take 10-30 minutes to finish, depending
on how many categories you enter. A link to the entry form is posted
at the top of this page as long as we are accepting entries.
When
will my entry be posted?
Entries are usually added to the awards page or voting page the
day they are received. Posting your summary page may take a bit
longer, especially if there are many entrants at once.
Why

You'll get your linked logo splashed on top of the Awards page for
several years, sponsorship of up to SIX Go Mobile issues,
and your company name mentioned in all awards-related press releases!
